Just an observation from experience, but with #22 it's easy to wind up
with weak crimped connections, harder to strip, and a few other
issues. It's uncommon to find it on production A/C in the airframe,
and avionics install manuals where they specify smaller than #20
assume the shop has the high-dollar Molex crimpers. Still, there's
shops which stop at #20 if they can (because of what FAA says in the
acceptable methods bible?). The economy Molex crimper works quite
well, and on most similar connectors too, but on #22-24 I've found it
can be a percentage shot to pass the pull test.

The crimper is available at mouser.com; #538-11-01-0015, $12.48. Says
.062" pins, but can fake it with .093 too.

Best,
Fred F.
