John, That's the beast. If you need to take the gearbox off you screw that
into the hole at upper port front of engine that is revealed by removing a
plug. You slowly turn the crankshaft until you find that the locking screw
will advance into a depression. Took me two days to find the tool and where
to put it, and then about 15 mins to get the gear box off. Incidentally if
you are removing the gear box you need a monstrous large ring spanner which
I was obliged to buy (over 50!) and would happily loan to anyone in UK.
