Fred,
You could use the Andair GAS375. It will still block any water as long as 
its wet with fuel. The design is such that the fuel velocity slows down and 
turns as it flows into the large area of fine mesh, tending to dump 
contaminants into the bottom of the bowl. The cheap style gascolators tend 
to attract contamination onto the mesh, which then deflects and blocks  the 
part of the mesh immediately below the fuel outlet. This has been 
demonstrated in Andairs workshop.
