Then you have never seen a New Zealand Pukeko in flight.

It's about the size of a small chicken and has yet to discover that 
undercarriages should be retracted in flight. Their take off is laboured, are 
awkward flyers, fly with feet dangling and often crash land into a tree or 
scrub. 

Given that... I'll stand by my T-shirt which says "Real Pilots fly Monowheels"
