Fred-
We did mine up at Flight Crafters and they do them all about the same.=C2
- We have the NACA vent on the starboard side of the fin, just like Jeff.
=C2- When we installed it, we bonded the basket from a stainless steel te
a strainer to the back to keep bugs from nesting.=C2- The NACA vent we us
ed has a 2" output.=C2- We ran 2 inch=C2-SCAT tubing forward and used
=C2-3/4 X 4 blue foam as a mold to make a 3 sided piece of tubing about 4
feet long that mates to the SCAT tubing just aft of the "D" brace and runs
along the ceiling to the back of the overhead in the cockpit.=C2- We use
two VERY LARGE eye vents, one forward and one aft, from SteinAir (AV-1.625
B) in the headliner.=C2- They are=C2-quite expensive, about $ 100 each,
=C2-and I had to cut them down to fit.=C2- However, Lynne gets even mea
ner than usual if she can't get a lot of fresh air, so they are an investme
n in keeping the peace.=C2- How do they work?=C2- Tell you after I have
it flying.=C2- If you need them, I have pictures.

Jeff,
Did you use an after-market NACA vent? =C2-What size SCAT would you =C2

suggest? And how did you enter the plenum between the doors, given the =C2
-
reinforcement =C2-between the doors called for in the plans?
