Hi

I had a similar problem with my cables, which had been cut to length.
It turned out that the bolt which connected the inboard ends of the
cables to the throttle lever was a bit too tight. This did not allow
the ends of the throttle cable to swivel properly and caused a kink in
the wire before it entered the outer sheath. All of this is cockpit end
to avoid confusion. It took about 100 hours to show up.

Hi Cliff and thanks for the Throttle Cable Tip. The length as supplied

(1.6mtrs) is supposed to be spot on so as to leave a high loop within
the engine
bay. Did you find that the problem was solved when you cut out this
loop?
Originally the old cables worked fine at this same length and I only
changed
them because I thought they may have become internally worn, but this
seems
not to be the case.

Do you remember if you cut them to any specific length?

Best wishes.

Patrick
