Dwight,
like shaun says, the europa was designed around the rotax
engines. So far you can't get better than the europa/rotax 914 combination
(maybe i'm biased cos i have a 914) in terms of take off and altitude
performance. There is nothing on the kitplane market that has the all round
capabilities of the europa.
With regard to cockpit width, europa will soon be availing a mod to give
extra room around the door seal, and if you combine that with the bubble
windows you then have extra width and head room.
Try the pulsar, but once you fly in a europa be warned you will suffer from a
permanent grin ear to ear and there is possibility of suffering from AIDS
(Aircraft Induced Divorce Syndrome) like some of my fallen comrades. Its
addictive! Call John Hurst in FL for a remedy if the urge gets overpowering.
