GPS external antennas are available at very reasonable prices (~$45). See
the following site-
http://www.gpscables.com/

I have bought one and am extremely pleased with the performance.

Incidentally, talking of GPS antennas, I was quoted well over 350 +
VAT, for a tear drop shaped GPS antenna for my Skyforce Skymap. Does
anyone think that this is a reasonable price to pay for an antenna. I
don't! What is in them to make them so expensive. Does anyone know
how much a replacement internal antenna would cost? I must admit, I
was a little shocked.

Cheers

Ed
