Filter clogging

Touching copious amounts of wood. I have had no problems with my two standard
Europa filters.

Two thoughts pass my mind as I read the comments of others who have written.

    1. Could it be dust from cutting back epoxy surfaces? The static nature
of the insides of the tank would strongly attract such dust, washing would
not necessarily remove all of it. After cutting the holes in the tank I
washed it several times. Vacuumed it thoroughly, and sealed it with tape
until it was installed. I had read early letters on the subject, and had
perhaps strongly over reacted.

    2. Could it be the vacuuming? I note from another builder that he has had
no problems, and he also vacuumed.

Despite G.S.'s urging, I was too cheap to use the gascilator. I prefer
the idea of two alternatives anyway.
