Are you at a stage where you can sit in the cockpit? There's not much space
available for a comfortable, side throttle position, and the cables will
require really excessive bends to get to the carb(s). Rigging up dual
throttles would be desirable to avoid hands flailing about to get at the
brake and gear levers on the monowheel, but this would be difficult to
engineer so as to be assured the setup would never, ever bind. If you're
using a Rotax engine, dual throttles I think would be out of the question
(two carbs; four cables).
If you want just the side-mounted throttle, you could try the long,
Teflon-lined throttle cables used on piston twins. It might work to run the
cable(s) aft, down, then 180 along the fuselage floor behind the big bulkhead
and forward through the central tunnel. Unfortunately, a heavy, expensive
way to have the convenience of a left-hand throttle.
