Martin,
While in LA about a month ago I visited Kim Prout and saw the modification on 
the

baggage area  he had done to a Europa. I took photos of the modification. 
Basically a step is placed into the bulkhead of 14 inches "tread" and then the
bulkhead 
continues up at the same angle, cut down to fit.An added support is made 
vertically

under the bulkhead. Step height about 5 inches above the controls for the 
elevator
to 
fit a battery or whatever. Have not seen a PFA approved MOD for it yet.
An excellent modification restricted to 20 pounds of weight according to Kim.
