To all Tri-Gear owners:
The Europa Lakeland demo Tri-Gear has hand-operated brakes, by two levers
fitted in the center consol to the right of the throttle, while I understand
the standard arrangement that comes with the kit is foot operated brakes.
Has anyone else made this modification? How do you find using one hand to
operate the brakes and sometimes also the throttle when taxiing? Would you
still recommend making this mod.?
To those flying with the foot operated brakes: How do you like them - is
foot space too tight or is it OK once you get used to it? Can you operate
the brakes and the rudder at the same time (toes on rudder, heels on
brakes?), or do you have to let go the rudder control if you apply the
brakes?
