Or one of the springs that open the throttles come off - it only took 2
seconds to fix remember, and was quite visible. I think the springs come
off quite easily.

"I was thinking that on advancing the throttle only one carb was
advancing, that's why it ran better at low throttle setting and with a
light load (high rpm setting on prop).  One cable kinked in the throttle
box so only one carb advanced.  "
