Thanks Ian=2C I'll do that as well. I already removed the ch probe=2C becau
se the wire was corroded=2C repaired the wire=2C but it didn't change anyth
ing.

My strongest lead is the fact that this only happens when the engine is run
ning.

I have the Grand Rapids and have had a similar problem with some very stran
ge readings.  The symptoms were that half the readings produced by the unit
 were OK but the other half were all over the place.

I contacted Grand Rapids and they were helpful but could not offer a partic
ular explanation.  After a lot of investigation=2C including pulling out th
e entire unit=2C I found that all it was a broken cylinder head temp probe.
  Once this was disconnected everything else went back to normal.  With the
 probe replaced everything was OK.

So my recommendation is to disconnect the sensors one at a time until you f
ind the duff one
