The mod was designed for my aircraft which was new and a Trigear from
scratch. The existing floor (The area which would be cut out for the
mono) was left in place and reinforced with 3mm foam and 2 (or 3 I
forget) plies of Bid. My understanding from Barry Mellors was that his
calculations assumed the hole was there. So he was not interested in
any structural strength contribution the new floor might make.
