It turns out that price is for another type of carb. The Rotax Bing carb
rubbers are =A341.26 incl VAT.

See the ad on page 15 of the latest "Loop" Aerosport are selling them
for =A323.38 (ex vat I assume). There is no mention of any rotax parts

Looking to longer term servicing I have been costing the rubber
connectors which connect the carbs to the manifolds on the Rotax
engines. In the UK these are an extortionate price of about 50UK pounds
each. I checked the price in France and they were still about 50 Euros
each. I recently spoke to the owner of a Banbi (which also uses the
Rotax) and he says that these parts can be obtained much cheaper from
BMW as they are used with Bing carbs on BMW motorcycles. He also said
that the rubber diaphragms within the carbs are also much cheaper from
BMW. Has anyone else got any suggestions on this?
