Al, I suspect the critical thing with fitting wings in relation to sweep is
not that the sweep is exactly identical but that the spars lie one tight
against the rear of the cockpit module and the other tight against the
first. If you end up with a half inch gap somewhere, you start relying on
pin bending strenght instead of shear, and I suspect you seriously weaken
the system, quite apart from having problems clearing the aileron controls.
We mostly probably fly around with the fus pointing a degree or two off
course anyway, which makes precise sweep calculations a bit irrelevant!
