There is a further advantage to the Floscan sender, it is not magnetic but 
uses infra red so will not be affected by the magnetic gyrations of your 
alternator etc.
John Hurst of Europa Florida told me that he can buy these senders for 
around US$99 by asking for a non certificated version. This in fact has 
extra features but is otherwise identical.
