Hi Guys, He can stick to the story all he wants, but the fact remains that I
have had carb ice with a xs cowled 912S.

Without an intercooler, no way to get carb ice on a 914!  Tap off any
water and feed into the cockpit to make tea.  With one, at impossible
100% efficiency, same as a 912.  A big Rotax dealer here (CPS, Inc.)
puts out a tech paper claiming a cowled 912 just cannot ice, because
of the carb design.  Says it can theoretically, but he's never heard
of it, and he stickin' to that story.
