Having spent 16.5 hours flying ZK-UBD in temperatures that reached 35c on
the ground this week I can definately say that the Europa needs more cooling
than just the NACA vents. My knees were nicely cooled but airflow around the
face was sadly lacking. Even my 20 minutes in the airshow left me drenched -
but then that might have been more related to doing a 160knot pass down the
runway at 150 feet! UBD has an exit vent on the turtledeck which does allow
the air to flow through the cabin with quite a reasonable force. FYI the
density altitude at Ashburton on Sunday was 3950 feet - at 295 feet AMSL!!!

Following this experience I am going to supplement the knee coolers and
instrument panel eyball vents with another pop up scoop in the T top.

Tony
