Temper Foam comes in several densities. The solution recommended by
locall EAA folks who use the stuff is to get 3 1-inch layers varying
---From hard to soft. Stack them with the soft on top. Everyone seems
to love it.

How can I put this delicately without being ridiculed?

Got a sheet of Temperfoam and tried it out on top of the car seats on two
very long journeys.
Very comfortable and rather like what I would anticipate its like to sit in
a bowl of porridge.
There were no pressure points but, conversely, I was also effectively
sitting on points not normally sat on.

The side-effect (which I hasten to add was temporary) was similar to one of
the long term problems which bicycle riders report from too long in the
saddle and which your wife (or mistress) would probably complain about too.
Or maybe it was the effect of creeping middle age.

If you catch my meaning!

Or is Temperfoam meant to be used against a contoured hard base? rather than
on top of other cushions.
