Whilst it is true any position can be chosen, there is a very valid and logi
cal reason why the reference point was chosen to be 29.25=9D forward o
f the joggle.
The reference point FS 0.00 for the original Classic was the forward face of
the engine cowl behind the spinner. This position corresponds to 29.25
=9D forward of the joggle on the Classic and the XS. The front face of the
cowl on the XS is further forward to accommodate the relocated engine posit
ion on the XS.
