Sean,
I replaced the rubber straps with solid massive wood. So the wings are
almost fixed when in trailer. The shape of the wooden blocks is copied
---From the wings and they were covered by self adhesive carpet tape. What
is important I wrap the wings (the section which is in the cradle)
before loading them to the trailer by sling (kitchen?) film. That
prevents very effective all the rubbing (check photo "Ryanair").

Subject: Europa-List: Trailer wing cradle
My existing trailer wing cradle / slings (the original rubber straps)
are now perished and cracked and need replacing. I have already lined
the originals with a thin carpet material to stop chafing and rubbing of
the leading edge and wing surfaces.
What do people advise? A like-for-like replacement or is there a
better alternative out there to use that is strong, flexible and does
not chafe, rub or mark the wings in any way?
Thanks
Sean
