BTW I observed a nasty issue when leaving the aircraft outside on a warm day,
tank
full (or close to).
Fuel spills off the vent, for what I presume being a significant quantity
(taints
the paint, and significant traces on the ground).
This drove me to the assumption that a significant empty space remains over the
fuel, due to fuselage pitch on ground (3 wheels Europa's may not exert that).
With warming, vapor tension increases and push fuel out into the vent.
I feel this ceiling space is wasted, on top of the spillage issue. Probably a
tube
extending front from the vent port into the tank could permit carrying more
fuel, while avoiding the warming issue.
Has anyone already experienced and solved that?
