Troy,
We made them the length that was specified in the build manual. The distance
they
are from the ground depends on how much the aircraft weighs, and changes with
contents - people, fuel, etc. Sometimes they are an inch or two above the
ground, sometimes they touch, and sometimes the outriggers bend a little.
Also learned to put the nylon rod and the aluminum fitting in the freezer.
Makes
assembly easy.
