Stirring up an old thread here.

I will have to replace my fuel lines due to aging sometime over the next few
months,
so I have started thinking about fuel-systems.

My G-BWON (which I bought in december 2008 ) currently only has a sight-gauge
behind
the filler-neck, and I know for a fact that this thing is not to be trusted!

No fuel sender is installed either, so effectively there is only one action that
I can fully trust today: fill up the tank until the very edge of the filler-neck
to know for sure how much fuel is onboard.

I most certainly:
(1) will install a fuel flow computer (FC10) with 2 FloScan 201B6 transducers
(2) want a reliable inflight-indication of fuel available

FYI: Andy Draper today informed me that the LAA is working on a standard mod for
the fuel flow computer installation in Europas, and will be published on their
website 'in next few weeks max'

My questions to the list are related to the second point above:

(A) The links to images that show Tony K's solution are no longer working;
anybody
willing to post some images so I can have a look what this pressure-sensor
solution is all about? I saw Tony's email that a new version is available, the
fact that this solution remains work in process is fantastic!
Tony, perhaps you can share your knowledge about the device with me, along with
pros/cons? If so, please send me an email.

(B) Another option would be to install a reed-type float sender (I don't want
other
types), but I am pretty sure I won't be the only one not being eager to cut
up the headrest et all.
I saw WEC's solution, where a float was installed in a standpipe/sight gauge.
Not
having seen this solution before, this solution resembles one of the ideas
that crossed my mind lately.
Is there anybody who can tell me the pros/cons of this solution, or possibly
share
experience with this or similar solution?
