Have you seen the new TSA rules regarding non-US citizen flight training
in the US?
Basically, if you want any flight training (other than it seems just a
BFR or a checkout) you have to register with the TSA and it'll take 60
days to approve you. Oh, and it costs around $400 usd in total to
complete the process. And the flight school has to register you (and
that will also mean you will probably need a J-1 visa, yet more cost).
Canada is looking like a better bet.
