The 4 gauge cable I used weighed a total of 1.4kg so even if you put weight
in the tail instead the penalty is only about 1kg. It has the advantage of
making an external power connection much easier and safer. There are
advantages with and aft C of G. For a monowheel it makes landings slightly
easier and keeps the weight on the tailwheel during crosswind take-offs.
Also keeping the trim towards the aft end of the permitted envelope reduces
tail downforce reducing induced drag in the cruise.
