Tony is right, of course. The toughness of the bottom edge is not the problem,
it is the excruciating pain in your Sternum, ribs and southern parts associated
with
worming yourself through the opening.
My solution is a length of the gray foam-pipes used for insulating plumbing.
Weighs
nothing, costs almost nothing, takes up no space and is less attractive as
a permanent home for mice, spiders, and other critters.
