Have you used the ignition off position to do another mag check? In other
words does the rpm in the off position equate to a single mag working? If
so your problem is likely to be associated with one of the ignition
systems.  As it seems to be a problem when hot you may have a faulty
electronic ignition module. If you were to isolate one system after the
problem has occurred and then try another start and shutdown you should be
able to identify the offending system.

Whilst your aircraft has this problem your prop is potentially permanently
live so treat with extreme caution when turning over the prop before start.
I know that the ignition circuits normally need at least 250rpm to work but
the fault (if associated with an electronic module) might affect this
protection feature.
