Perhaps indeed so, and also exactly where on the wing? A laminar flow
airfoil might require much experimentation. The dimpletape people say
place it at max wing thickness, which theory would support for your
father's fat-wing Cherokee. However, that's about 38% of chord for
the Europa, and Don Dykins says the Europa wing is likely laminar flow
to around 50% of chord. Placed too far fwd into laminar flow, the
effect could easily be zero to adverse. That's a lot chord positions
to play with, so is this tape easily removed and reapplied?
