I had this same problem with the Terra radio and I know of others with
similar problems. I returned it to the supplier on several occaisions but
each time I was assured it was fine. I tried new aerials, new coax etc etc
all to no avail. In the end I insisted that the set be returned to Trimble.
This was (rather reluctantly) done and the manufacturer discovered a long
list of faults all of which they repaired. Since then it has worked well
or at least until I sold the Europa some months ago), I hope it is still
giving good service to the new owner.
