WRT Jeff's message below, there was some good advice on the forum on fitting
the mass balance arms a month or so ago. This was to ignore the procedure in
the manual and bond in the balance arm boxes and mount the ailerons
(temporarily) _before_ making the balance arm cutout in the lower TE. Full
details available in the forum archive at
(http://www.geocities.com/asarangan/europa_forum.html).

BTW I would rather have your aileron length problem -- my kit is one of the
early XS where the aileron cores were half an inch or so too short so I have
to extend the outboard closeout flange -- not looking forward to it.

Best regards,

Nick Hammond

Chris.

Don't mess with the inboard closeout. You can whack off enough of the
outboard closeout to make it fit. Apparently this is 'normal'. By the way,
if you haven't done the mass balance arms, be sure to check their location
against the cutouts in the lower wing skin. Another typical problem is for
the measurement called out in the manual to result in a mass balance arm
that does not align correctly with the cutout in the wing.
