That sure is the theory, but RF can behave strangely.  In Jim Weir's
(RST Engineering) book on copper tape antennae, he says "aluminum
ultraviolet dope doesn't seem to be a problem, but metallic paint on
fabric has given some folks trouble and other folks it hasn't
bothered."  Probably has to do with whether metallic paint has any
metal in it.  Trouble is finding out what's in it, as the can just
don't say.
