Hi! Paul.
Whilst I'm not in an authoritative position IMHO it would be best left as is
at present. More drilled holes will cause a weakness. I would reckon that as
long as the vertical members are vertically parallel to the fire
wall you will be AOK. Hopefully you have enough clearance between the top
horizontal member and the firewall to get the bungee rope round?( although
when it is stretched it has a smaller diameter)
