************************************************

I built a table top with a 2x4 frame and a double layer of .75" MDF for a
top. Extremely heavy. What other posters said about leveling is right - you
will probably need to place small shims between the top and the frame for a
truly flat surface.

I ran plastic conduit (the blue corrugated flexible kind) through my XS
wings. I am installing lights embedded in the wing tip with a third tail
strobe. I installed a small pair of halogen driving lights for landing/taxi,
underneath the wing and directly in front of the outrigger hinge assembly.
The outrigger hinge fairing will enclose the lights. Contact me off the list
for more details. Be prepared for the fact that any modification will take
much longer than you think - you are now the engineer.

I installed a Lift Reserve Indicator. This uses a probe in the wing, which I
installed just in front of the spar and outboard of the outer rib. This
location allows the plumbing to run behind the spar (where the wing is open)
and out to the wing tip, then around the spar end and into the probe.

There will be times when you think you'll never finish. Keep plugging - if
others can build and fly you can too. I get discouraged sometimes and I
haven't even STARTED sanding :-)

David
