I too (thanks to this net and its happy band of advisors) went through
the centring-the=darned-bearings ritual and concluded by using Bob's
device of multi-wiggling the sticks after a Braswso application,
followed by a thorough flushing with Clutch/Brake cleaner fluid.
I drilled all four Tufnol bearings from the top with a 1/8inch drill
and inserted short lengths of automobile 1/8inch OD nylon tubing as
lubricant guides (the front ones penetrate the seatfront and sit inside
t6he 'boots'. Just a thought.
