The spinner wobble on the Mk 1 can be terrible and is difficult to correct. I 
agree
with the idea that an aluminium one would be one route to a solution.

More by luck, than judgment, mine is now satisfactory. Application of tightly 
fastened
penny washers under the spinner attachment screws adjacent to one of the
prop blades altered the harmonics of the system sufficient to reduce vibration
to a minimum at engine 'sweet spots'.

How was it done ? Carefully documented experiments with weight and position and
15 successive take off's and landings !!

I believe dynamic balancing can be performed but is expensive.
