Welcome to the club, Nic --

Don't publicize that San Diego weather stuff!
Everybody and their in-laws will want to live in
San Diego, followed by more sprawl, traffic, and
outrageous real estate prices.... I remember
seeing a bumper sticker out there: "Welcome to San
Diego!...Now Go Back Home" <g>

If you have an XS fuselage, I believe they already
have extended it 2". The limit is the engine
installation (can't speak to the Jabiru). Any
material to extend it must be fire-resistant in
the U.S., as the factory has done. I don't know
if the materials they used are readily available
(suspect it's an oven-cure process). You might
have to add stainless steel sheet to any addition

to the footwells.

The seat pans are part of the cockpit module,
which goes exactly where it goes. But as to a club
seat, I haven't seen any examples of a club seat,
or child seat, really, but in my pre-XS tri-gear,
the wood ribs for the main gear

installation take up a lot of vertical room. On
mine (even though I extended the baggage area 14"
aft), I don't see a seat going back there except
for a very small child. Can anybody else help
out?

> ?Rear window for club seat?

The fuselage is a primary structure, probably more
so on the tri-gear, so I guess the answer is OK if
it is done correctly engineering-wise.

> ?Complete steel tube sparhole?

I really don't see where the advantage (I presume
you're thinking easier rigging) justifies the
weight penalty. Wing-rigging is no big deal as it

is, although you do gotta watch you don't put too
much stress on the wing spar sockets while
rigging, else they can crack loose.

> ?Full engine quadrant?

Design what you want for that central tunnel.
FADEC, auto-throttle, even, hey why not?
