hello all,
G-BXUM flying nicely, and after an excellent PFA coaching conversion course
i'm now allowed solo.
being predominately a nosedragger pilot i read up all the previous notes in
europa newsletters, checked back on the emails for peoples experiences and
also read through the taildragger convex notes on the PFA web site, but as
every one says, if brain is in gear it will go where you tell it. Filled my
boots yesterday with 2 1/2 solo hours and lots of stalls, gen handling,
asi/gps checks and just having a bloody good time!
there were some discussions on adding heaters a few weeks ago, but in
reality it would seem that adding air conditioning would be a better option.
seriously, 25 degs oat on the ground and around 39 degs in the cockpit, the
adjustable airvents in the side work nicely when flying, but it would be
nicer still to have cooled air coming in. Checked through some web sites but
was unable to find anything suitable, does anyone know if its possible to get
small a/c packs? preferably cheap but i live in hope!

chus,
dave
