Dave,
Mine's about 1 mm - (I haven't put any weight on it yet).
I think the triangulating bracing strut between the operating arm and the
L/H LG08 is essential to stiffen up this area. The lack of such rigidity
and strength was one of the contributing factors to at least one of the U/C
collapses.
