Thank you for replying to anonymous Letter regarding Europa.
I have replied in another e-mail personally to the Mail List which you
will now have seen.
Starting any 'crusade' as witnessed by the anonymous Letter is often
able to polarise feelings rapidly. Perhaps the Factory should ascertain
the 'mind set' of those Flying and Building the Europa via some form of
Feedback document over the next few weeks in order to get a 'true'
picture of the various feelings out there! And the implied number of
dissatisfied Pilots/Builders.
What I would hate to see is a copy of the US 'Mini 500' Helicopter saga
where polarised opinions have created 2 opposing 'camps' leading to no
real solution to real problems leading to several deaths.
There's a lot of Europa Flying going on now. Perhaps some of those
Pilots could feedback for those of us following behind. If it is a
'pain' to fly I would rather know now and make an informed decision on
my build (Trike or Monowheel), the safety equipment fitted but most
important, the type and duration of a flight training programme.
I am sure this debate will keep on a while yet. That's good but in needs
to be openly and constructively conducted, not through anonymous
'sniping'.
