I'm getting help building my Europa from my brother Tom and my friend
Jack, a Navy ordnance specialist. Recently they have gotten hooked on
Microsoft's new Combat Flight Simulator, and regularly dial each other
up to dogfight. Tom tried something different recently:
"So, as Jack has already found out, any aircraft that you could import
into Microsoft Flight Simulator you can now import into Combat Flight
Simulator. Jack's been busy trying to win WW2 with F-14 Tomcats, but I
took a different tack.
"I now have the only "combat-capable" Europa in existence. Four .50-cal
machine guns in the wings, two 20mm cannons, some rockets and some
bombs. Yeah, baby. I actually shot down a Fw-190 and a couple other
planes last night. They can speed past me like crazy, but I can
out-turn them every single time. It makes a pretty good ground-strafing
platform, since it is so slow.
"Unfortunately, they didn't include screen-shot capability in CFS, so I
can't show you the cool sight of a Europa doing a victory roll over a
smoking Bf-110."
