We regret that there has been a serious accident to a Europa in Florida,
US. The aircraft was on its third flight when the NSI Subaru engine failed
at 100 feet on takeoff. The pilot lost control presumably due to lack of
airspeed and crashed sustaining serious injuries. The pilot was believed to
be on his third flight in a Europa and hadn't been checked out by the
factory. He had reported engine cooling problems with the NSI Subaru
installation on his previous flights.
