There is a problem with exhaust fumes entering at low speeds. Particularly with
flaps down.
I have a strong feeling that a lot comes in via the flap actuator tube slots. On
GK Whip these are closed by the flap fairing flaps up. Flaps down some gets in
at the stall but not much.
Conversely G-DAYS allows a lot more smoke in at the stall, both flaps down and
up. There is a strong draught through the fuel tap access hole in the top of the
console, which can only come from behind the baggage bay and reduces with
increasing speed.
I made a streamlined fairing for the mainwheel which also closes the slots at
the side, gear up. I shall fit it soon and see if that helps.
