Hi: These are the engine prices I've come up with so far:
Factory list for the Rotax 912 is 6,600 + 1,155 VAT = 7,755 (UK pounds)
Aero Developments EA-81 Subaru is 5,500 + 962 = 6,462
Fitting kits are about 2,500 extra for both of the above.
Stratus EA-81 100 hp Sabaru 5,995 US = 3,996 + freight, say 300 + 751 VAT 4,996
The Stratus deal includes: reduction drive, fuel pump, prop extension,
electric starter. TBO = 1,000 hrs.
I believe it also includes dual Bing carbs, and engine mounts that
incorporate Lycoming motor mounts
Assume the same fitting kit price as above. Price is still good.
Stratus tell me they are currently flight testing the 2.2 l Subaru 160 hp
and this should go into production this summer of early fall.
