Hi Mike,
I am at the same stage as you and noticed that a couple of aeroplanes that 
visited
Sywell over this last weekend had their callipers at the 90 degree position
(i.e., they were very near the ground and looking rather vulnerable to damage)
The XS demonstrator, in contrast, had it's calliper in line with the swinging
arm  -  i.e., about half way between the two positions shown in the good book.
I asked Andy (who had flown XS in)  if it would be acceptable to rotate the
torque plate into that position and re-drill the three holes. He said "that's
what we did !!". Andy started nodding as I explained the problem and said he
had been asked this several times recently and thinks he will mention it in the
next newsletter.

By the way, the Sywell seminar was a great event with some really interesting 
speakers.
Well done to John Riddalls, Rowland Carson etc..
