hello. It is I, Kim Prout responding to concerns regarding
ventilation. The initial installion of the NACA vents was not
satisfactory due to an incorrect ramp angle so I added small tabs
behind the scoops to force flow. Still didn't work well so I modified
the scoops to the correct ramp angle and then worked beautifully with
plenty of air. The small tabs still help at idle and taxi and high
angles of attack. Also, the scoops bring air into small plenum which
allows install of eyeball vents, really nice to shut off air, direct
air to various body parts and to cool the radio stack (have vents on
sides of stack and exits at top of instrument module.
The air in the cabin exits through the gear handle slot and through 2
vents in the baggage bulkhead and out the rudder slots and anti-servo
slots. Interestingly, air comes into the cabin as well via the access
to the fuel valve. Hope this helps in your install and
