Hi Glen,

Without checking through my log books, I think I have changed all he bushes
three
times now and they will need doing again in the not too distant future (I do
have over 2,300 hours on the aircraft now).

On each occasion I have done the job all in situ and I have managed to do it
with
a little tool press I made up comprising a bolt, nut, washers and a length
of tube the same size as the bush. I don't use heat, just press the old bush
out.
Another mono in the same hangar as done the job once following my advice.

It's a really horrible job working upside down at virtually full arms length but
ultimately it is manageable.

imagine doing it in situ! I found it difficult enough to get the bits back
in place having assembled them on the bench. Must have been much more flexible
with eyes that did not need glasses 18 years ago.

are handed when you refit them. If you do it the way I did first time the gear
will not come up! It does show it in the diagram but we could find no specific
mention in the manual.

No heat required.

4 bushes of LG08, of interest more on the starboard side, and these will need
replacement soon also.
