Last weekend we renewed the two bushes on the shock absorber top plate LG05 -
something
of a struggle but doable in situ. We still have a little play in the
4 bushes of LG08, of interest more on the starboard side, and these will need
replacement soon also.
Has anyone developed a procedure for this task, preferably working with the LG08
in place, without having to tear down the whole gear assembly?
These bushings are understood to be secured with locktite, so we assume some
heat
and a suitably contrived 'special tooling' will accomplish the task.
All pointers welcome.
